Importing Data

Notework has two import paths depending on whether you want to create a new Project or add content to something that already exists.

Import into a Workspace

Workspace imports are available to Workspace Owners and Admins.

Open Workspace Settings.
Select Imports.
Choose Notion, Markdown, or CSV.
Follow the import steps.

A Workspace import creates a new Project containing the imported content. After the import, you can manage that Project like any other Project.

Import from Notion

Export your content from Notion.
Keep the export as the .zip file provided by Notion.
In Notework, choose Notion as the import type.
Upload the .zip file and start the import.

Import into an existing Page or Collection

Workspace members can start an import from the ... menu of the Page or Collection they are working in.

This workflow supports Markdown and CSV. Notion is not available from the Page or Collection import menu.

Import notifications and retries

Imports run in the background. When an import requires attention, use the notification in the side navigation to open its details. Failed imports can be retried.
